Jason Buhrmester is an award-winning journalist, editor, writer and author.

He is the author of “Black Dogs: The Possibly True Story of Classic Rock’s Greatest Robbery” (Random House/Three Rivers) which is currently in film production and named to the 2022 Black List. His forthcoming novel “Five Four Three Two One,” is also in film production.

Previously, Buhrmester served as Editorial Director/Head of Content at Playboy, where he oversaw editorial and creative for the iconic magazine, website, original video and book publishing initiatives. He later served as Chief Content Officer at TMB, where he oversee the editorial and creative brand direction of Reader's Digest, Taste of Home and Family Handyman. 

His writing has appeared in Spin, Wired, Village Voice, Chicago Tribune, Robb Report, Malibu Magazine, Palm Springs Life and other publications.

He is currently SVP, Head of Digital Editorial & Creative at A&E Networks where he oversees original editorial, video and other content across History Channel, A&E and Lifetime.
